'Pour Your Heart Out' is the 'Foundry Guild' Student Club Annual Fundraising event usually taking place on the Saturday of around Valentines Weekend. Founded in 2010 with 'Pour For Haiti' where the students raised a record breaking $5000 !!
This is a unique event where members of the community are invited to make artwork in cast metal at the foundry: People of all ages and backgrounds are assisted by foundry students to make a 'relief tile' by carving a design into a block of sand which then has molten metal poured into it: this is commonly known as a 'Scratch Block'
Other activities include making small 'Cuttlebone Castings', personalizing 'Forged Metal Hearts' and eating 'Guild Cheese Sandwiches'. T-shirts, leather patches and artwork is also on sale!
